An old beggar was sitting on a box.

A stranger walked by and the beggar took off his hat and held it upside down and asked for a few coins. The stranger replied that he did not have any money to give. Then the stranger asked what the old beggar was sitting on.

"Just this old box, have been perched on it for more then thirty years, " said the beggar.

"Have ever looked inside the box?" asked the stranger.

"It's just an empty box, no need to look !"

"Just try, if you never tried you really do not know" the stranger responded.

The old man got up and pried the top off the box and looked inside. He saw that the box was full of gold and silver. His eyes grew wide and he knew that the wealth that was out there was now his.
